Pop star Billie Eilish recently took aim at Elon Musk in a fiery Instagram Story, and his response has sparked a fresh discussion about wealth, responsibility and how public figures respond to criticism.
What Billie Said
On November 13, 2025, Billie reposted a carousel from the activist group “My Voice, My Choice” that laid out how Musk’s projected fortune — he’s on track to become the world’s first trillionaire — could be used to solve global issues: ending hunger, rebuilding war-zones, saving endangered species. According to People, she then wrote directly: “f—ing pathetic p—y b—h coward.”
Her message underscored years of her public stance: if you have huge wealth, what are you really doing with it? She previously challenged billionaires at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards: “If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? … give your money away, shorties.” Entertainment Weekly

Four days later Elon Musk responded via X (formerly Twitter). He wrote simply:
